These two courses are open to all members in Baffin Region.

Understanding and Interpreting Collective Agreement (May 25): This course explores key provisions in members’ collective agreements and introduces an easy four-step framework for interpreting the contract. The course will “demystify” the collective agreement and provide you with the necessary skills and tools for on-going, self-directed learning.

There will be a two-day Local Officers Training course on  Friday, May 25 and Saturday May 26, 2018.

The course will take place in Whitehorse. 

This course is a prerequisite for Advanced Local Officers.

There will be a Whitehorse Regional Women's Committee Meeting at the Lucy Jackson Training Room, Yukon Employees' Union, Whitehorse, Yukon. 

The event will take place on Wednesday May 23, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. 

There will be a Yukon Aboriginal Peoples Committee Meeting at the Lucy Jackson Room, Yukon Employees' Union, Whitehorse, Yukon.

The event will take place on Wednesday, May 16 from 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

There will be a PSAC North NWT Regional Women's Committee Meeting in Yellowknife on May 15.

The meeting will take place in the PSAC Boardroom at #201A North Star Building at 4910-53rd Street, Yellowknife. 

 

The application process for the 2018 PSAC Scholarship Program is now open.

The program consists of 14 scholarships for dependent children of PSAC members and 3 scholarships for PSAC members who will be attending university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning on a full-time basis during the 2018-2019 academic year.

As well, there are 2 scholarships to be awarded for PSAC members who will be studying on a part-time basis during the 2018-2019 academic year.

The 18th National Triennial Convention of the Public Service Alliance of Canada will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building in Toronto, Ontario.

PSAC North Delegates will caucus on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 from 11:15 - 12:30. (Room info to follow)

The event take place from Sunday, April 29, 2018  at 2:30 p.m. to Friday, May 4 at 12 p.m.

National Day of Mourning, April 28

There will be a Talking Union Basics introductory course in Watson Lake on Friday April 20 and Saturday, April 21. 

The course will take place at the Morgan Chaddock Recreation Centre - Curling Lounge from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. 

The registration deadline is April 18 and is open to Watson Lake members.

This course is open to all members in Kivalliq Region. This training is a must for stewards and other workplace representatives, or members who want to use the acquired knowledge and skills to solve problems in the workplace. You will find out what the law says about grievances, grievors and their representatives, and the protections built in for those who choose to use the grievance procedure to solve problems.

There will be a PSAC North Regional Council Meeting - Teleconference on Wednesday, April 18.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. (MDT),  4:30 p.m. (PDT), and  7:30 p.m. (EDT).

There will be a PSAC North NWT Regional Women's Committee Meeting in Yellowknife on Tuesday April 17. 

The meeting will take place in the PSAC Boardroom at #201A North Star Building, 4910 53rd Street from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

There will be a PSAC North NWT Area Council Meeting on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.

The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the PSAC Boardroom in the North Star Building at Suite #201A 4910 53rd Street.
